The European Waterpolo Championship Barcelona 2018 starts walking. Today,  Barcelona City Hall hosted the presentation of the Organizing Committee and for the first time everybody has known the logo.

All members of Spanish Waterpolo, national head coaches, Presidents of Waterpolo clubs, players and media attended at this massive presentation together with all members of  Spanish institutions that will be part of the OC and Marco Birri, the Sports and Office Manager of LEN.

All members have agreed in highlighting the importance of this competition in a city like Barcelona. Barcelona has already organized two World Championships, Barcelona 2003 and Barcelona 2013, besides several recent European competitions like Final Six in 2014, 2015 and LEN Supercup 2014. In fact,  this Sunday 6th November Barcelona will host the LEN SUPERCUP WOMEN at C.N.Barcelona between C.N. Sabadell Astralpool (Euro League winner) and La Sirena C.N.Mataró (LEN TROPHY winner). This match will be broadcasted live by Television (Esport 3 and TELEDEPORTE) and streaming here

“Barcelona is a city that breathes sports and lives water polo thanks to the daily work that all our clubs are doing together with institutions of our city and country. So I want to thank everyone for their willingness in this new project,” said the President of the Catalan Swimming Federation,  Enric Bertran, vice president of the Organizing Committee. David Escudé, from Barcelona City Council and Vice President of the Organizing Committee, said that “Barcelona has everything to make this project become a success.” Fernando Carpena, President pro tempore  of Royal Spanish Swimming Federation said that “this new European waterpolo Championship will be able to generate a great illusion and this is always good for the Waterpolo and for a city like Barcelona”
